Quick post today, gotta get back on the road! First things first…we are back in America. Wooo!! Canada was great and I’m sure we will go back many times, but there is just so many great places in America and I can’t wait to see them so I’m gad we are back. We made a brief stop in Seattle yesterday and so I’ll share some of the pictures from that. I try to stay on top of taking photos, really I do, but I am not great at it so often I am lacking some colorful content when the time rolls around to write the next post. For this I am perpetually sorry and am working diligently to improve, but in the meantime you will have just have to deal with less pictures. Sorry!

Seattle was…okay. I have been to a decent number of major cities. L.A., NYC, Chicago, Boston, London, blah blah blah. But I am not going to lie I was a bit disappointed by Seattle. And this may be due to the fact that we were only there for a few hours and didn’t see much of the city. It may be due to not really liking cities in the first place, but I can say with confidence it wasn’t the best major city I have been to. It was SUPER crowded. I felt more claustrophobic than when walking on the streets of New York. The traffic is bad but not in the novelty way that New York or Boston is. It sounds weird but the traffic in those cities is practically famous and so it doesn’t irritate me as much. It is expected. But here it just felt so chaotic in an uncomfortable way. And that again can be attributed to my less than excited attitude towards large cities in general, or the fact that we had just returned from a few weeks in a much less populated area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to spend time in this city.

Seen in Seattle…still not sure what it is.

We went to the Pike Place Market which was fun enough. Lots of people both selling and buying. I thought the coolest thing were all the flower stalls. There had to be thousands and thousands of flowers being wrapped up at all the different flower stalls. I can’t imagine they sell them all, but I hope they do because I would hate to see so many flowers die for no reason! So sad. We had some good Indian food for lunch but it is just too crowded to enjoy a place like that. I’m glad we have moved on.

This one’s for you, Grace

Today we find ourselves in Portland, OR. I’m sitting at a fun coffee shop (this picture is for you Mom and Grace. I took it sneaky like because I didn’t want to be “that person” who takes a picture of their cappuccino). The coffee is not bad! Not Kopplin’s, of course, but decent enough. Hopefully we will make it to the toy museum today, I thought that sounded really cool. I’ll be back with more info later.
